There are innumerable sites on the net that offer freelance jobs which don’t necessarily stress on degrees. You post your resume on the site whilst stating your areas of interest and wait or just apply for a particular job posted on the site. If your prospective employer is interested, he will send you a little test. If you pass the test, then you can get started. It’s as simple as that.

If your resume is peppered with degrees, then, well and good. If not, then no employer in cyberspace seems to stress on them. Just pass the preliminary test to prove that you are competent and then stick to deadlines. Yes, deadlines are taken very seriously in cyberspace. This is all the more so with writing or editing jobs. This is the way it really should be everywhere. I agree that one needs degrees for specialized jobs like medicine, engineering, rocket science etc but jobs like sales, customer service or writing, I can’t understand the necessity for degrees. This is where cyberspace comes to our rescue.
